Proteolytic protection of PPARαLBD through interactions with L-FABP. A fixed concentration of PPARαLBD (30 μM) was digested with trypsin in the presence of increasing concentrations of native LFABP (0, 50, 100 μM). Control protein digests were performed in the presence of increasing concentrations of the PPARα selective drug GW7647 (0, 1, 5 μM) or heat denatured L-FABP. The gel was probed by western blotting with a PPARαLBD antibody. The position of the intact PPARα LBD protein band is indicated.
