High glucose and pioglitazone induced NHE3 expression are mediated through EGFR phosphorylation. HK2 cells were incubated for 48 h with 5 mM glucose media (Control), high glucose (HG) ± Piog (10 μM) ± gefitinib (0.5  μM) and levels of NHE3 were determined by Western blotting.
