Luteolin Pretreatment Attenuates Hepatic Ischemia-Reperfusion Injury in Mice by Inhibiting Inflammation, Autophagy, and Apoptosis via the ERK/PPARα Pathway

Figure 5

The protective effect of luteolin during hepatic IR injury is closely related with ERK/PPARα pathway. (a) Relative PPARα mRNA levels were determined by qRT-PCR. (b) Western blot results and analysis of total ERK, p-ERK, and PPARα levels. (c) Levels of p-ERK and PPARα in liver tissues at 6 hours after reperfusion are shown by immunohistochemical staining. Final evaluations were made by Image-Pro Plus 6.0 software to calculate the IOD of the positive staining area. Data are presented as (; for IR vs. sham; + for IR+luteolin (25 mg/kg) vs. IR; ^ for IR+luteolin (50 mg/kg) vs. IR; ! for IR+luteolin (50 mg/kg) vs. IR+luteolin (25 mg/kg)).
