Peroxisome Proliferator-Activated Receptor γ Regulates Lipid Metabolism in Sheep Trophoblast Cells through mTOR Pathway-Mediated Autophagy

PPARγ is involved in the regulation of lipid accumulation in STCs through mTOR pathway-mediated autophagy. PPARγ may inhibit the activity of mTOR in a time-dependent manner, thereby inducing autophagy and promoting lipid accumulation which provides the energy basis for rapid proliferation of trophoblast cells during conceptus prolongation.
