Curcumin Protects Human Umbilical Vein Endothelial Cells against H<sub>2</sub>O<sub>2</sub>-Induced Cell Injury

<div>The effect of curcumin on cell death-related genes in H<sub>2</sub>O<sub>2</sub>-exposed HUVECs. HUVECs were pretreated with curcumin (40 <i>μ</i>M and 50 <i>μ</i>M) for 12 h and with H<sub>2</sub>O<sub>2</sub> (100 <i>μ</i>M) treatment for another 12 h. The mRNA level of cell death-related genes including p53, p21, Bax, and Bcl-2 was detected by PCR.
