Osteogenic Potential of Mouse Adipose-Derived Stem Cells Sorted for CD90 and CD105 In Vitro

Table 2

(a) CD90(+)/CD105(+) and BMSCs demonstrated strong adherent characteristics. In contrast, CD90(−)/CD105(−) exhibited weak adhesion. (b) The expression of homeobox and hedgehog signaling genes, which are related to body patterning and development, was relatively high in CD90(+)/CD105(−) cells. Strong expression of stem cell marker genes such as Nanog and Sox2 was also observed in CD90(+)/CD105(+). (c) Osteoblast-related genes were generally expressed at higher levels in CD90(+)/CD105(−) and CD90(+)/CD105(+) cells compared with CD90(−)/CD105(−) and unsorted ASCs. (d) Osteoclast-related signals were stronger in CD90(−)/CD105(−) and BMSCs. (e) A number ofWnt family genes were expressed at the highest levels in CD90(+)/CD105(+), followed by CD90(−)/CD105(+) and CD90(+)/CD105(−).
