Clinical Study

A Clinical Study of Autologous Bone Marrow Mononuclear Cells for Cerebral Palsy Patients: A New Frontier

Table 6

Details of two patients who had seizures as an adverse event after cellular therapy.

Patient 1The patient had abnormal EEG with generalised polyspike waves burst followed by background attenuation and multifocal epileptiform discharges and a history of seizures before intervention. After the intervention, the seizure frequency increased. The seizures stopped after 2 months by introducing Lamotrigine and increasing the dosage of Valproate.

Patient 2The patient had abnormal EEG with sharp wave potentials over left parietal region and a history of seizures before intervention. After the intervention, the seizure frequency increased. This was controlled by increasing the dosage of Valproate and continuing Clobazam and levetiracetam.
