Manufacturing of Human Umbilical Cord Mesenchymal Stromal Cells on Microcarriers in a Dynamic System for Clinical Use

SYBRGreen stained hUC MSCs on Plastic Plus microcarriers after 9 days of culture in 200 mL DMEM medium in a spinner culture at a seeding density of 8000 cells⋅cm⁻². The spinner culture was started with 100 mL working volume and 2.5 g microcarriers. After 4 days a feed of 100 mL fresh medium and 2.5 g fresh microcarriers was performed to investigate a bead-to-bead transfer. The microcarriers are either totally confluent with cells or blank (scale bar = 1000 μm).
