GGF-2 is not sufficient alone to maintain a spindle-shaped morphology, and FGF-2 is necessary to produce the Schwann-like morphology. (c) dASC−/+GGF revert to a stem-like morphology, as do (d) dASC+/−FGF and (e) dASC−, whilst (f) dASC+/−GGF, (g) dASC+/−forskolin, and (h) dASC+/−PDGF all retain a spindle-shaped appearance.
