Magnetic Targeted Delivery of Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells Promotes Articular Cartilage Repair

Figure 5

In vivo cartilage repair at 4, 6, and 8 weeks after transplantation. At 4 weeks after transplantation in the M group, osteochondral defects in the patellar groove of the femur were covered by hyaline-like cartilage; however, the surface of cartilage was irregularity (a). At 6 and 8 weeks, defects were also covered by hyaline-like cartilage, and the surface was smooth (b and c). On the other hand, in the NM group and C group, osteochondral defects could be not regenerated cartilage by 8 weeks (c). Scale bar = 500 μm.
