Differentiation of hASCs. (a) hASCs (p3) were observed under an inverted microscope while suspended in normal complete medium and were found to be spindle-shaped. (b) After incubating in osteogenesis medium for 3 weeks, the cells were subjected to von Kossa staining, which demonstrated the presence of calcium deposits (black). (c) Oil Red O staining confirmed that lipid droplets (orange) had formed after the cells were incubated in adipogenic differentiation medium for 2 weeks.
