Characterization of rat OE-MSCs in vitro. Prior to engraftment, immunochemistry revealed that 100% of cells expressed the nestin (a, green) and S100A4 (b, red) proteins. OE-MSCs were immunostained with 3 surface markers, quantified using a flow cytometer and expression level compared to isotype (c). Nuclei were counterstained with Hoechst. Scale bar: 200 μm (a–c).
