Serum-Free Culture of Human Mesenchymal Stem Cell Aggregates in Suspension Bioreactors for Tissue Engineering Applications

From the suspension bioreactors, aggregates in 1 mL samples from three bioreactors were assessed. From the static culture, 10% of the aggregates from duplicate wells were assessed for diameter, and a value of 1200 aggregates per well (AggreWell 400, STEMCELL Technologies Inc.) was used for density analysis.
