Serum-Free Manufacturing of Mesenchymal Stem Cell Tissue Rings Using Human-Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells
Figure 2
Characterization of hiPSC-MSCs. (a) The morphological changes during hiPSC-MSC differentiation from hiPSC colonies, dense NCSCs in differentiation, dissociated single NCSCs, and spindle-shaped hiPSC-MSCs at passage #4 (MP4). (b) hiPSC-MSCs expressed CD90, CD105, CD144, and CD73, confirmed by immunocytochemistry. (c) Flow cytometry histograms showed that hiPSC-MSCs were positive for CD90, CD105, CD73, and CD146 and negative for CD45 starting at MP4. (d) The hiPSC-MSCs also demonstrated the ability for osteogenic and chondrogenic differentiation. Scale bar: (a) 100 μm, (b, c) 50 μm.
