Metformin Delays Satellite Cell Activation and Maintains Quiescence

<div>Metformin delays Pax7 downregulation. (a) SCs were isolated from C57BL/6 mice, attached onto plastic plates, and treated with 2 mM metformin for 2, 4, and 8 days. SCs were further analyzed by immunofluorescence microscopy for the expression of Pax7 and MyoD.
