The effects of treatment were determined by behavioral tests and molecular experiments. (b) The filaments were applied to the suprapubic region with a variety of Von Frey filaments (2, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 15 g). The positive behavioral responses were recorded, including writhing or lifting the body, licking, or scratching the lower abdominal area, and jumping up.
