Dose response curve of the extract revealed poor discrimination at 25 μg/mL and showed greater sensitivity at 200 μg/mL. Ceiling effect observed at 1000 μg/mL where no more increase in the response is seen with further increase in the dose. Extract exhibited the inhibitory effect with an inhibitory concentration (IC₅₀) of 662.14 μg/mL.
