Antinociceptive Effect of Tephrosia sinapou Extract in the Acetic Acid, Phenyl-p-benzoquinone, Formalin, and Complete Freund’s Adjuvant Models of Overt Pain-Like Behavior in Mice

T. sinapou ethyl acetate extract inhibited CFA- (Complete Freund’s Adjuvant-) induced overt pain-like behavior. Mice were treated with T. sinapou ethyl acetate extract (100 mg/kg, i.p., 30 min), morphine (5 mg/kg, i.p., 30 min), or vehicle before CFA (10 μL/paw) injection. Total number of flinches (panel (a)) and time spent licking the paw (panel (b)) were evaluated for 30 min. Experiments were performed with 6 mice per group per experiment and are representative of 2 independent experiments. compared to the saline group, compared to the formalin + vehicle group.
