Impaired Geotaxis as a Novel Phenotype of Nora Virus Infection of Drosophila melanogaster

Analysis of geotaxis every 3 days in NV+ and uninfected females. Geotaxis was measured by counting the number of flies that climbed above the line after 1 minute and the average climbing ability calculated. Kaplan–Meier geotaxis analysis demonstrated a significant difference between the two groups () with uninfected flies having greater locomotor function. Trials are representative of the day of testing; for example, trial 4 occurred on day 12.
