Stress-related genes expression in rat brains after reperfusion under normothermia. The expression levels of each mRNA in ischemic core (red), penumbra (purple), and normal (yellow) regions were quantified by real-time PCR, and their mRNA expression levels were shown as a gene copy number per 1 ng of polyA⁺ RNA. The procedure used has been previously described [17].
