Yellow rods consist of 4.4% enriched uranium; red rods consist of 2.8% enriched uranium and 6%  Gd<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub>. The non-BA-containing reference fuel design is identical except that all rods are of the former (yellow) type.</table>
