Lung histopathology of mice infected with CIV and CIV^SA1. Mice were inoculated with PBS (a–c), CIV^SA1 (d–f), and CIV (g–i) at a dose of 10^6.5 EID₅₀. The H&E (a, b, d, e, g, and h) and IHC (c, f, and i) staining were performed on mice lung tissues collected on dpi 4. Images are representative of three mice per group and obtained at 40x magnification (a, d, and g) and 100x (b, c, e, f, h, and i).
