Development of Live Vaccine Candidates for Canine Influenza H3N2 Using Naturally Truncated NS1 Gene

<div>Protection efficacy of mice vaccinated with commercial vaccine or CIV<sup>SA1</sup>. The vaccinated or PBS-inoculated mice were challenged with CIV at a dose of 10<sup>6.5</sup> EID<sub>50</sub>. The mice lungs and nasal washes were collected on dpc 2 (<i>n</i> = 5) and 4 (<i>n</i> = 5). TCID<sub>50</sub> assay was performed for four types of samples: (a) dpc2 lungs, (b) dpc4 lungs, (c) dpc2 nasal washes, and (d) dpc4 nasal washes. The results were expressed as mean ± SD.
