Network Analysis of Functional Genomics Data: Application to Avian Sex-Biased Gene Expression

Sex-biased genes tend not to be hubs. This is evidenced by Spearman's correlation coefficient between differential expression (measured as MWT FDR) and network connectivity which was significantly positive in most cases. Sex-biased genes were separated from unbiased genes using a cutoff of FDR = 0.1. The first number is the correlation, and in brackets is the corresponding value. Significant correlations () are marked in bold.
