Effect of PC-PL 18 : 1 and PC-PL 20 : 4 on γ-secretase activity in purified membranes of human AD postmortem brains. Membranes of six human AD postmortem brain samples were purified and incubated with (a) PC-PL 18 : 1 and the corresponding phospholipid PC 18 : 1 or (b) PC-PL 20 : 4 and PC 20 : 4 as control. PC-PLs and corresponding phospholipids were incubated in a final concentration of 100 μM and γ-secretase activity was determined with a fluorometric assay. (a, b) Representative kinetics were shown.
