Processing time for the running max/min filters on an input image with different kernel sizes using a single HGW module in the proposed architecture clocked at 250 MHz. The processing time required for the Urbach-Wilkinson algorithm and the MATLAB implementation of the HGW algorithm is also shown for comparison.
