Peritoneal cell count in LPS-stimulated mice fed with Roquefort cheese. Mice were gavaged twice (once daily) with PBS containing 10.0 mg of blue-veined cheese or PBS alone (control). 24 hours later, the animals were injected intraperitoneally with LPS or its solvent (PBS). Peritoneal washes were obtained 48 hours after LPS injection and the resulting cell suspensions were counted as described in Section 2.
