Neutrophil (Gr-1+) and macrophage (F4/80) counts in peritoneal washes obtained from LPS-stimulated mice fed with Roquefort cheese. Mice were gavaged twice (once daily) with PBS containing 10.0 mg of the Roquefort protein extract or PBS alone (control). 24 hours later, the animals were injected intraperitoneally with LPS or its solvent (PBS). Peritoneal washes were obtained 48 hours after LPS injection. Neutrophil (Gr-1+) and macrophage (F4/80) populations were quantified as described in Section 2.
