TNF-α mediated NFκB signal transduction pathway. TNF-α bind to TNFR (TNF-α receptor) lead to activation of NF-κB inducing kinase (NIK) which phosphorylates and activates NFκB and IκB (inhibitors of NFκB) complex. IKK then phosphorylates IκB, which leads to its ubiquitination and degradation by the proteasome. NF-κB then enters the nucleus and acts on target genes. Arzanol inhibit this NFκB activation involved in signal transduction pathway. (Adapted and modified from Appendino et al. [15].)
