A Solution Quality Assessment Method for Swarm Intelligence Optimization Algorithms

Algorithm 1

The main steps of assessment method.

Step  1. Delete the same solution of 𝑆 according to distance, and denote the new

    set by 𝑆1;

Step  2. Find the best solution from the set 𝑆1, and denote 𝑠⁰;

Step  3. Calculate the distance between the solution of 𝑆1 and 𝑠⁰, divide the set

     𝑆1 into some subset 𝑆_𝑖 according to distance, and let |𝑆_𝑖|=𝑠_𝑖;

Step  4. Distribute the good enough solution set 𝐺;

   Step  4.1. Get 𝑀 solutions from 𝑆1 according to the order of fitness;

   Step  4.2. Delete the infeasible and same solutions, and get 𝑀1 solutions;

   Step  4.3. Assemble 𝑀1 solutions and 𝑆1 solutions, and get 𝑔 solutions

    by ordering fitness;

   Step  4.4. Calculate the distance between 𝑔 solutions and 𝑠⁰, and count the

    number of 𝑔_𝑖 according to the distance;

Step  5. Calculate the alignment probability 𝑃_AP by (4)
