PCA pretreatment improved intestinal I/R-induced intestine histopathologic injury. Tissues were harvested at the end of reperfusion and were stained with hematoxylin eosin. Slides were examined under light microscopy at 200x magnification, bars = 50 μm. Histologic injury scores in groups were quantified.
