Two-Component Signal Transduction System SaeRS Positively Regulates Staphylococcus epidermidis Glucose Metabolism
Quantitative transcript analysis of glucose metabolism-related gene transcript levels. Total RNA was extracted from SAE and WT grown in TSB medium at 37°C until the postexponential growth phase and the cDNA were then synthesized. The mRNA expression levels of glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate dehydrogenase (gapA-1), enolase (eno), succinyl-CoA synthase alpha subunit (sucD), isocitrate dehydrogenase (icd), pyruvate kinase (pyk), fructose-bisphosphate aldolase (fbaA), and phosphate acetyltransferase (pta) were determined using the beta-actin gene as an internal control.
