Cooperative Control and Its Engineering Applications in Power Systems

Description

Recently, cooperative control of multiagent systems has received much attention from various scientific communities ranging from mathematics to control engineering, physics to computers, and even to biology. Therefore, it is potentially significant for developing the theory of coupled dynamical systems for practical applications of such constructions in different engineering aspects. Revealing the fundamental properties and controlling the collective behaviors of multiagent systems have prominent impacts on various modern high-tech industrial systems such as power systems. Traditional analysis and control techniques for power systems are mainly centralized. With the advent of communication and computing technology, enhanced operational effectiveness through cooperative teamwork under a distributed manner in power systems is becoming a reality.

The main focus of this special issue will be on the new cooperative control approaches in multiagent systems as well as their potential engineering applications in power systems. This special issue will become an international forum for researchers in all branches of control engineering, electrical engineering, and applied mathematics to present and summarize the most recent developments and ideas on cooperative control of multiagent systems and its engineering applications in power systems.
