Next-Generation Internet and Communication
Description
The Internet is one of the most key technical infrastructures in existence today. It will be a catalyst for much of our innovation and prosperity in the future. However, the present Internet may not be capable of meeting so many requests much longer. Fortunately, scientists and engineers believe that new technologies, protocols, and standards can be developed to meet tomorrow's demands. The research on this new Internet is considered as a global research challenge. Therefore, we intend to organize a special issue for researchers, engineers, and practitioners to share their work on next- generation Internet technologies.
This special issue focuses on the design, engineering, and operation of next- generation internet networks. Original papers on recent advances in next-generation networking and communication are invited. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
- Next-generation networking architectures
- MIMO systems design and analysis
- Network planning, capacity analysis, and topology control
- New signal processing techniques in 3G\4G\B4G
- Wireless heterogeneous and ubiquitous networks
- Mobile and pervasive computing
- Fixed mobile convergence
- Crosslayer design and optimization for next-generation networking
- Cooperative communications
- Cognitive radio, software-defined radio
- Optical communication systems and networks
- Network measurement and monitoring techniques
- Network security and privacy
- Next-generation services and service platforms
- Operational and research issues with next-generation Internet
- Internet of things
- Cloud computing
- Other related topics
Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal’s Author Guidelines, which are located at http://www.hindawi.com/journals/tswj/guidelines/. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Manuscript Tracking System at http://mts.hindawi.com/submit/journals/tswj/communications/ngic/ according to the following timetable:
