Plant Biotechnology

Description

Extraordinary developments have been recorded during the last 40 years in the fields of plant biotechnology that has led to the development of daringly new, original, and creative things. These activities have increased the pace of alleviating poverty, hunger, and environmental degradation. If this pace of development continues without any hindrance the next 30 years will result in boon through the use of plant biotechnology and its products.

We invite all those who have a say in the subject of plant biotechnology, from research organizations, universities, and others to submit original research and reviews on all titles that seek to define new trends in plant biotechnology. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Plant transformation techniques, plant cell, and tissue culture
  • Plant molecular biology, proteomics, metagenomics, and functional genomics in plants
  • Plant biochemistry, cell biology, and molecular genetics and epigenetics in plants
  • Transgenic foods and GMOs
  • Phytoremediation through biotechnological techniques and plant-made pharmaceuticals
  • Bioinformatics
  • Social, ethical, and economic impacts of plant biotechnology
  • Plant biotechnology education

Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal’s Author Guidelines, which are located at http://www.hindawi.com/journals/tswj/guidelines/. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Manuscript Tracking System at http://mts.hindawi.com/submit/journals/tswj/biotechnology/plbio/ according to the following timetable:
