Distribution of SDMA concentrations in 53 dogs with leishmaniosis on the day of diagnosis classified according to LeishVet guidelines [16]. Stage I included 5 dogs, stage II 30 dogs, stage III 12 dogs, and stage IV 6 dogs. SDMA concentration was higher in dogs from stage IV with respect to stage I (), stage II (), and stage III () dogs. The large black bar indicates the median of each group and the whiskers indicate the interquartile range. The dashed line indicates SDMA concentration of 19 μg/dL.
