Flowchart depicting the clinical and renal outcome of 53 dogs with clinical leishmaniosis six months after diagnosis and their classification into two groups according to the presence of CKD. Group A: dogs with no evidence of CKD six months after diagnosis. Group B: dogs with CKD disease after six months of diagnosis or dogs that died due to renal disease during this period. Classification of IRIS stage was done following the IRIS guidelines for staging CKD [25] as detailed in Figure 1.
