The conventional CSI acquisition protocol in 802.11ac [1] and 802.11ax [8]. The control frames of this protocol are transmitted at the basic data rate, and the size of the CSI feedback frame grows as the number of AP antennas increases. If the channels of the receiving group are not orthogonal with each other, then the CSI overhead may greatly degrade the MU-MIMO gain.
