We take the psychological states consisting of Maslow, Reiss, and Pluchik three theories as our controllable conditions. The pyramid in (a) shows the five categories of Maslow from the physiological to the spiritual level. The right ladder represents the Reiss motives as a subset of Maslow. Plutchik’s wheel of emotions in (b) represents the eight basic dimensions of emotions.
