Schematic diagram of the process setup. A curved wire (1) was inserted inside the syringe tip (3). The high voltage source was connected to this wire. The textile fabric (7) was wrapped around the rotating drum collector (2) to act as base textile. The syringe (4) was placed on the metering pump. When the high voltage was turned on, aerogel containing polymer mix (5) became charged and attracted towards the collector. The syringe tip with wire is shown insight (6).
