Example of in-service damage from Grade 91 heat “B2” [5]. The density of cavitation ahead of the crack varied from 700 to 1,000 voids/mm2 and closely matches known maximum densities responsible for macrocracking in Grade 91 heat-affected zones (∼1,000 voids/mm2).
