Polymer Materials Processing in Microstructure

Description

Polymer materials have been widely applied in industrial area. Within this area, polymer materials processing in microstructure is always a hot topic of research and it includes shaping microstructure by using polymer materials, polymer nanocomposites, polymer coatings, and so on. However, many areas of interest remain for research and development experiments and lab demonstrators.

The aim of this special issue is to provide a forum for researchers and practitioners to review the recent developments in the area of polymer materials processing in microstructure and identify possible trends for further developments as well as to attract industrial partners interested in application development with a new dimension. We welcome original research and review articles focused on dealing with the theoretical, implementation, and applied aspects of one or more of the following topic areas:

Potential topics include but are not limited to the following:

  • Processing and shaping in microstructure using polymer materials
  • Reinforced polymers and polymer nanocomposites
  • Polymer nanocomposites for energy applications
  • The effects of microstructure in polymer coatings
  • Nonwoven fabrics
