Sugammadex-Enhanced Neuronal Apoptosis following Neonatal Sevoflurane Exposure in Mice

Apoptosis in the forebrain was evaluated by (a) cleaved caspase-3 and (b) cleaved PARP activation in each group after 6 h of sevoflurane exposure. Exposure to sevoflurane for 6 h increased neuronal apoptosis compared to the control group. Coadministration of sugammadex significantly exacerbated neuronal apoptosis induced by sevoflurane exposure. Sugammadex alone did not cause apoptosis (, each).
