Effect of probiotic E. coli 16 (pUC8:16gfp) encoding vgb gene on liver parameters: (a) serum glutamyl oxalacetate transaminase (SGOT) levels, (b) serum glutamyl pyruvate transaminase (SGPT) levels, (c) catalase activity, and (d) lipid peroxidation levels in different groups of rats treated with CCl4. SGOT and SGPT activities were measured in plasma, whereas catalase activity and lipid peroxidation levels were measured in liver homogenates. , , , and compared to Group I (control without CC14 treatment). Values are expressed as mean ± SEM ( each group) and analysis was performed using one way ANOVA.
