The pH variation of Penicillium echinulatum strain 9A02S1 submerged cultures in medium containing 1% w/v bagasse samples or cellulose. Figure 1(a) shows the results for cultures grown with sugar cane bagasse pretreated with 6 parts of solution to 1 part of bagasse (6 : 1), and Figure 1(b) shows the results for cultures grown with sugar cane bagasse pretreated with 3 parts of solution to 1 part of bagasse (3 : 1).
