Identification of Multiple Dehalogenase Genes Involved in Tetrachloroethene-to-Ethene Dechlorination in a Dehalococcoides-Dominated Enrichment Culture

Figure 4

Gene clusters containing reductive dehalogenases in the Dehalococcoides metagenome. The predicted encoded proteins for all genes have been described previously [1] and are as follows: rdhA: catalytic subunit of Rdh, rdhB: membrane anchor protein of Rdh, rdhC: protein that has a putative function in regulation or electron transport, rdhS and rdhP: sensor histidine kinase and response regulator of the two-component regulatory system, respectively, rdhSP: hybrid rdhS and rdhP, rdhR: multiple resistance regulator (MarR) regulator, rdhF: corrinoid-synthetizing protein, rdhG: Rdh-modifying proteolytic protein, rdhH: hypothetical protein of unknown function, and rdhI: corrinoid-modifying protein.
