Pretreatment with Gemcitabine/5-Fluorouracil Enhances the Cytotoxicity of Trastuzumab to HER2-Negative Human Gallbladder Cancer Cells In Vitro and In Vivo

Figure 3

Line charts of mice body weight and tumor volume after treatment with various drugs. Treatment was started ten days after tumor inoculation. Mice were intraperitoneally injected of normal saline (20mg/kg) or GEM (100mg/kg) or 5-Fu (30mg/kg) and/or trastuzumab (20mg/kg) according to the schedule of Table 1. Mice body weight and tumor volume were measured every three days. On day 18, tumors were harvested. (a) On day 18, the tumor volume of GH group was the smallest (P < 0.05: GH group versus other groups expect for G group). Moreover, GH group’s body weight was heavier than that of HG group (P < 0.05), but not statistically different compared with G group and H+G group (P > 0.05). In addition, H group had similar tumor volume and body weight compared with the control group (P > 0.05). (b) A similar tendency was also observed in FH group compared with other groups, but not so obviously as GH group (P > 0.05).
