Shock, Cardiac Arrest, and Resuscitation

Description

Knowledge regarding basic life support (BLS), advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS), and postresuscitative care was just updated by American Heart Association (AHA) and European resuscitation council (ERC), respectively, in November 2015. The updated knowledge globally guides the treatment strategies of critical and emergency care. New focused categories, related to postresuscitative care, cardiac arrest or shock management, and cardiovascular emergency intervention, are interesting for scientific researchers. All new guidelines and knowledge can be further clinically applied or even challenged by researchers in the future.

Therefore, we aim to provide an opportunity to widely introduce your related researches. We solicit your high quality, original research articles as well as review articles focused on the field of emergency and critical care, especially ones about shock, cardiac arrest, and resuscitation.

Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • In-hospital or out-of-hospital cardiac arrest
  • Shock and resuscitation managements
  • Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECOM), hyperthermia, and postresuscitative care
  • Pediatric or trauma related critical care medicine
  • Infections, toxicology, and cardiovascular emergency
  • Molecular, cell, and animal studies associated with critical care or emergency medicine
