Chinese Herbal Formula Huo-Luo-Xiao-Ling Dan Protects against Bone Damage in Adjuvant Arthritis by Modulating the Mediators of Bone Remodeling

HLXL regulates mediators of bone remodeling in the joints of arthritic rats. Synovial-infiltrating cells (SIC) were harvested on d 18 from Mtb-immunized rats ( per group) treated with HLXL or Water (Vehicle) as described in Figure 1, and then these cells were restimulated for 24 h with Mtb sonicate (10 μg/mL). The levels of the indicated mediators were measured in culture supernatants of SIC using a Multiplex assay and the results were expressed as pg/mL. *, comparing experimental and control samples.
