Characterization of apoptosis and the cell cycle. The drug-resistant cell strains were cultured in RPMI-160 medium (containing 5-FU and L-OHP) and plated in 24-well culture plates according to the above descriptions and incubated with a nontoxic dose of compound radix Sophorae injection for 48 h. Flow cytometry detection showed that the number of 5-FU/SW480 and L-OHP/SW480 drug-resistant cells in the G1 phase was decreased compared with that of the control group, and the numbers of cells in the S phase and G2 phase were significantly increased (; Table 1).
